What Does Nature Mean to You?
February 05, 2019"Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better." - Albert Einstein
This is something I choose to live by. When I step out of the everyday world I find a fulfillment within myself.
Going into nature and being surrounded by the wisdom of the trees, the beauty of the grasses, the inspiration of the mountains, and the warmth of the sun I can feel the subtle peace enter my body, mind, and spirit. I am now home once again.
When looking deep into nature, I am looking deep within myself, realizing once again that I am part of this thing called Mother Earth. I am what makes up the divine being of the planet.
When I step back into this world, back into my home, and back into myself I realize how important it is to cherish the land and everything that makes up the land. We must nurture and protect the precious life that is all around us.
Proactive steps to protecting nature
- Buying from ethical companies such as Tree Tribe
- Recycling
- Planting vegetation
- Buying reusable water bottles, such as the Eco Bottle
- Buying used or ethically made clothing
When calming the mind, detaching from the ego, and connecting to the soul you are able to find the true meaning of happiness. Nature is what helps me to do these things. I was able to find my passion in life; healing through nature and how I could help others with the power of nature.
There are many ways to make a deeper connection to Mother Nature.
Earthing
The sun is known for its benefits for our health but the ground we walk on holds these same benefits. Earth has natural energy that it constantly flowing. One thing I do every chance I get when I’m outside in nature is Earthing. To do this is very simple, almost too simple.
All that is needed is to take off your shoes and socks. Now feel the warm grass on the soles of your feet and the dirt in between your toes; this is Earthing.
You are naturally receiving the energy that the Earth is exerting.
This has been said to improve sleep, happiness, energy, and having medical benefits. The connection to the Earth and your surroundings that you will experience is outstanding.
