Yoooo have you seen our new hats yet?! --> Hats Collection.
I've been a fan hats my whole life - probably since starting baseball at age 6 🧢
We've been wanting to do hats for a long time with Tree Tribe but just could't find a good combo of quality + eco materials.
At Tree Tribe, we always try to create more eco friendly alternatives than what's on the market.
After a lot of prototyping and sampling, we're proud to introduce Tree Tribe hats - made from Flax (a cool super eco material) and blended with cotton for a cool looking texture + nice comfort.
Most hats we've found are made with either virgin polyester, acrylic, or 100% cotton. We strive to use more eco friendly materials, so we chose a flax / cotton blend for our hats.
Similar to hemp and bamboo, flax is a tough plant that does well without fertilizers or pesticides, and requires less water than cotton.
You've heard of flax seeds right? The same plant produces nutritious seeds + eco friendly fabric. Nice!
We actually sampled some bamboo hats as well (we love bamboo!), but for hats it just didn't work very well.
Flax is strong, and if you zoom in on the product images you can see the cool texture it adds to the hat.
The result of our prototyping and testing is top quality hats that feel, fit, and look great.
The NICE hat is fun to wear, it gets some laughs and an occasional "Niiiiiiiiiiiice" 😃
Here's the full lineup. If you have any ideas or style requests give us a shout.
Did you know that the average US household produces 4.4 pounds of trash a day? That adds up to over a ton per household per year!
The statistics are scary, but the solution doesn’t have to be. Going zero waste is one of the most impactful and rewarding decisions you can personally make for the health of the planet.
Plastic Free July has quickly arrived, and here at Tree Tribe, it has us doing a deep dive into ways we can do better for the planet.
But first, what exactly is Plastic Free July? Plastic Free July is a movement born out of a global call for each of us to be part of the solution to plastic pollution and see a world without its damaging effects.
