Tree Tribe started in 2015 as a way to give back to the Earth and raise awareness on sustainability in the product industry (fashion, apparel, accessories).
As the founder, I wanted to start a company that had a purpose to help our planet, while making a positive impact on the world.
I was inspired by the "1 for 1 model" and said "Ya know what 1 for 1 is cool but I want to do 10 for 1!". That started our model of planting 10 trees on every sale.
Hey everyone, just wanted to send some positive vibes out to the universe and wish you a happy Earth Day 🌲
Earth Day's fun, even if it's on a Monday and we're still working, it's a great time to take an hour or 2 and hit the park and chill... or put your phone on airplane mode tonight and disconnect from the digital world (I've been doing this a lot lately).
Today for #GivingTuesday we donated to Trees for the Future to plant 🌲 3,000 trees 🌲
That bumps our total trees planted count to over 300,000! Whoa!
What started 3 years ago as an idea to create eco friendly products and plant trees on products sold has turned into a legit force of good for the Earth.
Our tree planting partner Eden Projects just launched a vlog to bring more video action of the communities they work with and projects they're involved with.
The early episodes will focus around their new planting project in Indonesia.
Here's episode 1:
Trees for the Future has planted over 155 million trees since 1989. Nice!
We've been working together for 3 years, since Tree Tribe started. August is their birthday month and we want to say thank you and happy birthday!
Some cool facts about Trees for the Future:
Indonesia is a collection of over 17,000 tropical islands in Southeast Asia.
We love Indonesia - actually most of our team has spent significant time there. I think Bali is one of the easiest places to be super healthy - yoga and surf culture, plenty of beach to run and ocean to swim, and lots of healthy food options.
Our tree planting partner Eden Projects has expanded to Indonesia! And a portion of our donations to plant trees contribute to the Indo projects.
May is Endangered Species Month, and our tree planting partner Eden Projects just shared some cool news with us!
They recently added 13 additional acres of land in Madagascar to use as a conservatory and rehabilitation center for endangered wildlife such as lemurs, crocodiles, tortoises, and chameleons.
In honor of Earth Day recently, Tony Robbins put up a $250,000 pledge to match all Earth Day donations, crazy nice move!
I just wanted to acknowledge how awesome that is. That's a lot of money!
This donation was with our tree planting partner Trees for the Future.
