Every day is  Earth Day to us, but today especially we’re stoked to celebrate because we’re all about protecting and preserving the earth! 🌎

We’re a small business with a HUGE goal:  to plant a million trees!

From selling eco-alternative products and planting a tree with every sale, we’re working hard to make that happen. We focus on spreading positive energy and building a thriving community that inspires a greater connection with nature.

Because today is extra special, to celebrate Earth Day we’ve planted an additional 7,500 trees! 🌲🌲🌲

Why do we plant trees?

Healthy tree populations are key to a healthy planet. For the environment, and for people. That’s why we partner with amazing organizations like  Trees for the Future and  Eden Reforestation Projects to plant trees throughout the world where they’re needed most.

Together, we plant forest gardens - diverse plots of trees and supporting species that help communities self-sustain by producing food, resources, and income, while simultaneously strengthening the local ecosystem.

Since we opened in 2015, we’ve planted over 240,000 trees!  Check out the tree map below to see where we’ve planted.

About Our Current Partners

TREES FOR THE FUTURE is an international development nonprofit working to end hunger, poverty, and deforestation through agroforestry and regenerative agriculture training.

They train smallholder farmers in regenerative agroforestry and climate-smart agriculture techniques.

Together we are having a direct impact on the planet by contributing to reforestation efforts, eliminating the need for smallholder deforestation, improving carbon capture through trees and soil, and eliminating the need for chemical inputs on farmland. Learn more at  trees.org

EDEN REFORESTATION PROJECTS reduces extreme poverty and restores healthy forests by employing local villagers to plant millions of trees every year.

Eden focuses on tree planting because they know the destruction of healthy forest systems causes so many different problems. Trees provide a habitat for animals, they purify water sources, they control flooding and erosion and they help to replenish the soil with nutrients needed for farming.

Eden has planted almost 300 million trees throughout 6 different countries since they started in 2005.

They’re constantly growing and increasing their impact. Currently, they’re in the process of launching 2 more project nations in Central America, and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, they are doubling the impact of their work with the first $100,000 donated being matched by a generous benefactor.

So now is the perfect time to help if you can. Donate today and learn more at  edenprojects.org

I'm obsessed with outdoor adventures. When I'm not out hiking, you can probably find me up in an alpine lake on my paddleboard, trail running over mountain peaks, or shredding the slopes on my snowboard.

Favourite nature spot: Howe Sound, British Columbia

Bamboo Straws: What's the Big Deal?

December 03, 2022

It's something you never really pay any attention to: you order a soda or a milk shake, or even just a water and the waiter always lays something next to the glass - a straw. While we all know that plastic straws are seriously damaging our planet (think 500 MILLION plastic straws used per day, most ending up in landfills*), we don't always talk about the alternatives to being able to use your straw...in a sustainable way. 🌱
